My husband and I had to live apart for almost 2 years because of our consulting work. Apart~Together and Together ~ Apart represent how I felt during those times.
“Apart – Together” Sometimes when we were first together after a month of being apart it took time to feel “together.”
“Together ~ Apart” Those times when we were together…really together after some time of getting to know each other again.
I happened to take a workshop with Robert Burridge at the Mendocino art center in Mendocino, CA. I really REALLY enjoy these workshops and learn so much about myself, techniques and in this particular class, pushing my limits to something I have not tried, which is people in abstract form. I feel that in abstract painting I am really digging deep to represent what I am feeling and I think these two paintings say it all. Note: my husband and I are together – not apart – now daily. Happy dance here!
