A while back I took a workshop from another of my favorite artists, Lauryn Taylor. I so wanted to learn her technique of abstract painting. I had met her at a Robert Burridge workshop in Mendocino and fell in love with her choice of color, style and the emotions I felt when looking at her paintings. I did try, but my first attempts just failed me. So, I covered the paintings up with gesso and used my tools to create something new and unique to me. This is an example of one of my results. I really love the texture I created. I sold the other paintings but hung this one hangs on my living room wall. I would give it up IF someone really wanted me to. ![]()
